Ingredients:

  • 100g of all-purpose flour
  • 50g of unsalted butter
  • 50g of sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 5g of baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract
  • pinch of salt

Kitchen Tools Needed:

  • mixing bowl
  • baking sheet
  • oven

Instructions:

  • Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • In a mixing bowl, cream together the softened butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
  • Add the egg and vanilla extract to the mixture and mix well until combined.
  • In another bowl, sift together the flour, baking powder, and salt.
  • Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, stirring until a soft dough forms.
  • Scoop out small amounts of dough and roll them into balls, then place them on the prepared baking sheet, leaving space in between.
  • Flatten each ball slightly with the back of a fork or your fingers.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for about 10 minutes or until the edges are lightly golden.
  • Remove from the oven and let them cool on a wire rack before serving with tea.
