Ingredients:

  • 2 medium apples, peeled and sliced
  • 1 pre-made pie crust
  • 100g of granulated sugar
  • 1 tsp of cinnamon
  • 1 tbsp of lemon juice
  • 1 egg (for egg wash)
  • 20g of butter, diced

  • Mixing bowl
  • Pie dish
  • Rolling pin
  • Knife
  • Cutting board

Instructions:

  • Preheat your oven to 190°C (375°F).
  • In a mixing bowl, toss the sliced apples with granulated sugar, cinnamon, and lemon juice until well coated.
  • Roll out the pie crust and place it in a pie dish, pressing it down gently.
  • Fill the pie crust with the apple mixture and dot with diced butter.
  • Cover the pie with another layer of pie crust, sealing the edges and cutting slits for steam to escape.
  • Brush the top with a beaten egg for a golden finish.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for about 25 minutes or until the crust is golden brown.
  • Cool for a few minutes before slicing and serving.
